Dead America: Keira

Now that I'm not stressed all the time, I've been able to get a few crap sketches done. This on in particular will be used as the face image for a roleplay on Gaia called Dead America. It deals with a zombie apocalypse (of course). Keira has changed a lot since I first created her way back in... 08? No. Earlier. like 07. She used to be a hermit with amnesia.

Now instead, she's a Naval sailor formerly stationed in San Diego. She was in Los Angeles when the outbreak began, sitting at the bedside of her friend dying of cancer, when suddenly the friend turns. The new "cure" for the cancer was the catalyst for the infection.

Keira ends up joining up with a very dysfunctional group of survivors as they slowly make their way to a safe zone in San Francisco, only to have their safety overrun by a mega horde. Now they're making their way East.
